ABOUT THE PROJECT
This is the website for an ongoing project that asks dog-owners to submit two things:
Sounds of their dogs barking
An image of their dog
Responses to the question: what has your dog taught you?

These sounds and responses will be added to an art installation that questions what we as humans can learn from our canine companions.

If you would like to submit to this project, you must submit an audio or video clip of your dog barking, whining, yelping, or howling. Your dog's voice will be added to the collection of dog sounds that are part of the art installation.
This project was inspired by Lily, a 12-year old German Shorthair Pointer. Lily was a free-roaming dog in a rural region of the United States and spent her life exploring and hunting hundreds of acres of woods, fields, and pastures. Lily embodied freedom, and taught several people what it means to be free, to play, to discover, and to explore. This project questions what we as humans can learn from our canine companions.
